Goodyear Events, November 2026 to February 2027

Goodyear's outdoor season runs from now until spring, and the calendar fills up accordingly. The city's own events move between the Goodyear Recreation Campus, Civic Square and Goodyear Ballpark, while Maricopa County's Estrella Mountain Regional Park adds guided hikes at the south end of town. Here is what's on from mid-November through February, with dates as each organizer publishes them. Plans can change, so check the organizer's page before you go.

November: chalk, a market and a free day on the trails

Chalk Art in the Park, Saturday, November 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Goodyear Recreation Campus. The city invites residents and professional artists alike to cover the campus sidewalks in chalk, with art stations, a live DJ and food trucks. It's an easy morning for families: bring the kids, claim a square and come back later to see what the pros made.

Farmers Market at Goodyear Ballpark, Sunday, November 15, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ballpark lists a market of local farm products, handmade foods, street food and handcrafted goods, a good chance to stock up for Thanksgiving week.

National Take a Hike Day at Estrella Mountain Regional Park, Tuesday, November 17. Maricopa County waives day-use entry fees at its regional parks that day. The park's November schedule also includes a Desert 101 hike the same day and a plant hike and Discovery Station program on November 20; several programs require registration and have participant limits, so sign up early on the county's events page.

The county's 100 Miles in 100 Days challenge is already under way and continues through February 8, 2027. Miles logged at Estrella Mountain count: the goal is 100 miles hiking, running or riding horseback, or 200 miles on a mountain bike.

December: Holidays on the Square and The Rinq

Holidays on the Square, Fridays, December 4 and 11, 5 to 8 p.m., Goodyear Civic Square. Each night has its own theme. December 4 is Yule Y'all, a holiday evening with country-inspired entertainment and Western flair. December 11 is Jingle Jam, a sing-and-dance-along party built around holiday hits. Both are planned with families in mind, so expect activities for kids as well as music.

The Rinq, December 2026 through January 3, 2027, 5 to 9 p.m., Goodyear Civic Square. The city's synthetic ice rink offers free skating for residents and non-residents alike. December skating begins Saturday, December 5, and runs Fridays through Sundays, excluding holidays, plus Saturday, January 2, and Sunday, January 3. Skates are provided in sizes from toddler to adult, sessions last 30 minutes on the hour, and there's no preregistration: arrive, sign the waiver and wear socks. Free parking is available in the North Civic Square Parking Garage, with extra event parking north of the library.

Before or after a skate, Copper & Sage, a Southern gastropub at 1975 N. Globe Drive in GSQ, is a short walk from the Square and serves brunch on weekends.

February: a heart-healthy run and jazz on the Square

Heart & Sole 5K and 1 Mile, Saturday, February 6, 2027, Goodyear Ballpark. The city's race marks National Heart Health Month with a 5K or a one-mile run or walk, planned for all ages and abilities. Registration details are on the city's special events page.

Jazz in the Park, Saturday, February 20, 2027, 5 to 8 p.m., Goodyear Civic Square. An extension of the city's Vision & Sound: An African American Experience, the evening brings local jazz bands, artists from the Goodyear library's Fine Art Show, artisan vendors, food trucks and a beer and wine garden. Bring a chair and plan to linger.

Spring training at Goodyear Ballpark. The ballpark is the Cactus League home of the Cleveland Guardians and the Cincinnati Reds, and its 2027 schedule spans February and March. Game dates appear on the ballpark's schedule page, where fans can also request 2027 tickets and sign up for schedule and promotion emails. Family promotions such as Kids Run the Bases have 2027 dates still to come. For the road games, or the ones you can't get to, Augie's Sports Grill on West Roosevelt Street is a Goodyear sports bar with plenty of screens.

Looking ahead

The city has already sketched its spring: the Wag & Tag Pet Festival at Civic Square, the Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival at the Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater and Theater in the Park at the Bullard Wash Amphitheater, all listed for March 2027. Exact dates aren't posted yet, so keep an eye on the city's special events page.

Before you go

For city events, the Parks & Recreation special events page carries the latest details and any postponements; this fall's Movie in the Parks was postponed, a reminder that plans can shift. The ballpark's events directory and spring training pages cover everything at Goodyear Ballpark, and Maricopa County's Estrella Mountain Regional Park page lists its programs, registration and alerts.
